Buy a Vacation home in Mexico?
Would you given the opportunity to do so, purchase a home in Mexico for a fraction of what it would cost to build here? I think that I would.

Hate speech can help us see.
Hate speech can be used as a way to initiate change. And it may also be a way of helping to prevent people with the same ideas that are not excepted will not group together and fuel each 0thers ideas. Imagine this: I am an Asian student living in a dormitory with all different sorts of students with differing cultural backgrounds. One of the differing backgrounds does not like Asians, but is unable to talk about it in front of people, so this person finds others who feel the same way he does and then they create a group that hates Asians. Instead of talking about this issue with others who do not support this idea the idea is able to fuel itself with support from the same views. But, if the issue was talked about publicly or with someone of differing views there might be a chance for the view to change.

What is art?
Everyone knows and nobody knows. Anything in this world could be consederred art depending on who you ask. But, how do we determine whether or not something is obscene?

Can we ever really know anything?
How many times throughout your day do you say that you know? I know. I know that you are standing in front of me right now. I know what I see. I know even what I dont see. These are all things that I say and that I have heard from other people. But, how do really really know? If our minds are our own how do we know what we think we know is true? Our lives are shaped by what we experience externally, and how we react to them internally. We all live in our own worlds that are unique and all very very different from the next. I know that this is air I am breathing and this is a computer I am typing on, but sometimes when I dream I think that I am doing something that I not really doing. Is it up to a matter of faith? Is it a matter of fact? Are the two ideas combined to create what we know to be true?

Seminars that lead you into a cave without any answers.
Its kind of funny how often we as students of this world want to be able to answer the questions that mean so much to us and our well being. We want to be able to point out solutions to the problems, but so many times we are unable or incapable of doing so. Maybe the answers aren't here now, but who knows what the future will hold? Soon, the answers may come, come from our minds, our hearts, and our societal collaboration of ideas. I want the answers and would like to be the one with some of the answers, but if we had all the answers there wouldn't be much for us to talk about now would there? In time some questions will be answered, whether right or wrong we wont know until after we try to solve the problems. Trial and error. What am I talking about anyway? Well, just about everything that is an issue to this date. Societies will come up with what they think is best, then when society changes so will the idea of what is best. We are constantly changing as individuals, and as a planet. Can we ever have a clear answer to some of the controversial issues or is the fact that the issue is controversial disallow this from ever happening? Where do we go from here?

What kind of car do you drive? Do you?
I dont have any real stats, just speculation, but I would argue that somewhere around 96% of car owners do not own a car that produces zero emission. The percentage could even be higher, because car companies did their best to remove all zero emissions vehicles from the hands of those who drove them and discontinued any production of such a vehicle. Has anyone even heard of such a vehicle? A zero emission vehicle?!?!?!?!? Whats that? That is what myself and others are trying to prevent people from saying. There is such a vehicle, but where is it? Why dont I own one? How can I own one? Can I own one?

The feasibility of electric cars in a society addicted to oil
Is it in anyway plausible to think that our society could gradually and eventually be driven by electricity? No more gas powered, deisel fuelled, and oil burning loads of metal. Is it possible? If it is how do we get there? Is that even the best solution? Is it one of many solutions? Is it even really that important? What do we do?

Sushi
Sushi, hot tea and four-hundred pound toddlers. Sushi and tea are not at least by my standards, controversial, but when combined with a news program that is discussing and showing extremely obese children, conversations that are very controversial are inevitably going to take place. How do we talk about obesity in a respectful way without pointing fingers? Can we? Would anyone in their right mind blame the overweight child?
